Talk about deflection. Russians conduct a chemical weapon attack on UK soil and some of you tools want to make it about Osborne.

I think 360's point is that it was OK for Osborne to lie because he thought he was going to get away with it.

You now appear also to be pretending that Osborne wasn't Chancellor of the Exchequer, with all the resources of the Treasury and B of E at his disposal, but just some random bloke in the street.

Re: Two poisoned Russians one a spy found ill on bench
The nutjobs are only banging on about Osborne and the emergency budget claim to distract attention from their own gross electoral fraud and disgusting abuse of public office.

Any old bullshit will do as the stakes are getting higher by the day.

Re: Two poisoned Russians one a spy found ill on bench
You technically cant lie about a future event unless someone can prove that YOU KNEW you could/would do something or not.

Also inference has to be part of the equation. Yes if the car broke down I could rob someone at gun point, steal their car and go to edinburgh too... If the man failed to find an alternative car that now makes the man a liar.. nope!

According to wiki a lie is

"A lie is a statement used intentionally for the purpose of deception"

I'm not sure how you could prove that the man driving to edinburgh or Osborne are liars given this context.

But do try... Its a fun game!

I think Bexley's point is that it was OK for Osborne to lie because he thought he was going to get away with it.

For a start, the man did not specify what car he would be using for the drive, and so his options were not car or no car.

Had the man left the car outside some where with a high car theft rate with the keys in the ignition and "Free to a good owner" plastered all over it and said "Tomorrow I will drive to Edinburgh in MY car", you may be getting closer to the truth - but still wrong.

There was definitely going to be one of two outcomes in the referendum - he made a claim against one of those two possibilities without being certain which it would be.

'As for the big fat lie. Surface: how can a budget be announced if there is no material change in our circumstances as a country?'

Well, as Chancellor of the Exchequer, Osborne should have considered that before telling A BIG FAT LIE.

Fucking LOL at that scenario being your idea of comparison.

As if Osbourne had no motive to lie about it during a campaign based solely on economic disaster.

It was nothing more than just a predicition that didn't happen purely by circumstances, out of his control.

Yes, the man is a liar. There are hire cars and he could buy one.

Re: Two poisoned Russians one a spy found ill on bench
Man says tomorrow I will drive to Edinburgh.
Tomorrow comes and car is nicked
The man can not drive to Edinburgh
Is man a liar?

Discuss....

There are prequesites to every assertion. And assertion regarding the future can only be a lie if the person knew that they couldn’t or wouldn’t do whatever it is they said they would do.

I don’t see how he lied. Got it wrong due to unforeseen circumstances yeah, but lied ... nah

Really can’t wait for the Tory party to answer charges that it is a criminal organisation engaged in plotting to destroy the State.

Next AfM will be resorting to making up terms like 'STRATEGIC CLAIMS' in his avoidance to admit Osborne lied.

Re: Two poisoned Russians one a spy found ill on bench
Nobody with a real stake in government doing its job properly and making sure the country is running smoothly will have much of a problem with what Osborne said.

On the other hand Leave’s claims, whether implied or direct, concerning the invasion of Europe from Africa and the Middle East being actively facilitated, or that the UK’s participation in the EU budget being a drain on public financing (that was the NHS bus claim), or that the EU civil service is out of any democratic control and threatens UK sovereignty, or that the EU was an instrument of German imperialism, or big corporate interests, or that freedom of movement was doing nothing but drive down wages ... all of this amounts to one titanic lie spread by political marketeers and bots employed excludively to secure a specific political market interested in little else than causing a bit of aggro.

So, the fact that no real Brexit policy has since been forethcoming is only further proof of what amounts to a premeditated campaign of electoral fraud designed to undermine HM’s state itself.

Can somebody clear something up.

The poison was squirted in the letterbox using a perfume bottle which was then thrown away.

Another bloke gets hold of the bottle and passes it off to his wife as a present because he couldn't be bothered to buy one.??
